Ross Smith specialises in high level facilitation services, governance and business review. Ross brings a comprehensive appreciation of accountability frameworks and the strategic issues confronting the public sector through his previous extensive experience at the three levels of the Senior Executive Service and as a Chief Executive. Ross is able to share a range of strategies developed through practical experience.

Ross has a strong track record of working in complex and sensitive strategic environments involving multi stakeholders. Ross also provides advice on leadership, strategy and a range of business related issues including governance, risk, project management and procurement to a wide range of agencies at the Commonwealth, State and Territory levels of government. Ross was awarded the Public Service Medal in the 1999 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for excellence in public administration. Ross also undertakes Board effectiveness reviews.

Margaret Smith

Margaret Smith commenced consultancy work in 2005. She has extensive experience in the education sector both in the development and facilitation of learning opportunities and outcomes. As part of a national team she was responsible for the design and delivery of the first competency based programs of training for the Australian Public Service. Margaret has also been involved in project management, in both the public and private sectors. Recently she has worked on projects at a senior level within the University sector, both in Australia and overseas. Margaret has also managed a number of projects funded by Australian government departments and agencies.

For several years Margaret was responsible for promotion and marketing of Australian education in the Asia Pacific, Subcontinent and European regions. Margaret has also been responsible for institutional capacity building for the university sector in the Asia Pacific and Latin American regions.
